Ruckus is pleased to announce its Location Based Services (LBS) solution. Deployed on top of Ruckus Smart WiFi, Ruckus LBS does not require any additional hardware and has unlimited scalability in the cloud. The LBS Solution Includes:
Smart Positioning Technology (SPoT)
- SPoT Point detects client locations in real-time through drop-pin analytics, within a range of 5-8m at 80% confidence. Ideal for high-density deployments.
- SPoT Presence utilizes proximity analytics to detect overall number of devices present to the nearest AP. Well suited for smaller venues with fewer deployed APs who need less precise location analytics.
- Virtual SPoT is a virtualized instance of SPoT deployed on-premises with no recurring costs.
Integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Beacon Technology
Ruckus ZoneFlex APs will be capable of services such as two-way distributed management, asset, and security management platforms for BLE Beacons. Ruckus is partnered with Gimbal, a leader in location and proximity-based mobile engagement, to leverage Gimbal Beacons through Ruckus APs.
LBS Ecosystem Program
